Close client contact is needed for BGI to maintain relationships and market the full range of its services to its clients. Client Relationship Managers and Business Development Managers are primarily responsible for obtaining new client mandates and increasing the funds under management from existing clients.
Your role
Within iShares, your main responsibilities will be to provide essential sales support to a Business Development Officer.
Serving as the central point of contact for a region within a given channel, you’ll set up face-to-face meetings, promote attendance at roadshows and conferences, and manage a database of both existing and prospective clients. As well as calling advisors in your designated region, you’ll also deliver sales presentations over the phone on Exchange Traded Funds, and share sales ideas with other channels within the group. As your experience grows, you’ll begin building towards your own set of client relationships.
Within the Business Development/Client Relationship group, your main responsibilities will be to provide support to our Client Relationship Officers. You’ll help achieve effective and timely delivery of regular reports and marketing of documents, attend client facing meetings as required, set up new clients and plan relationship strategies. You’ll also support cash fund events, contributing to change initiatives, and assisting in the team approach to client service. Most importantly you’ll increasingly take charge of the generation of new business for the firm.
Your talents
With an MBA or Masters in a science, economics, finance, or marketing based subject, you’ll have some experience in the brokerage, mutual fund, or other closely related industry. You’ll demonstrate exceptional communication skills a strong client focus and possess a solution-oriented working style.
Your strong grasp of economics and finance, will be coupled with well-developed analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to quickly comprehend and apply technical knowledge.These skills will be matched by your intellectual curiosity and strong decision making skills.
